Zima House

WOW! how time can get away from you!

In the last month We've been busy. I've started subbing again, had several fun embroidery jobs, worked on Dad's house and made a deal. The house has a contract on it. We are waiting for inspections and loan, and are praying that things go well.

We had to have the Roto-Rooter guy in to clean out the line to the front dry well, which added another $85 to the cost of getting the house ready.

The people buying the house are older than us. Good news for the people on either side of the house, though we were looking for some youngsters of 40 or do. The good news is that the husband is a wood worker. The strange news is that the wife can't work the gardens any more and is planning to did up the perennials and replace them with plastic flowers. That will be bright to look at, esp. in the winter.

Marvin has been making some great things in the wood shop. Here is a picture of one of my birthday presents. It is a box to hold the Civil War Medical bottles that I bartered for. I digitized a hot rod for the couple and put it on the back of denim shirts. What I did should have cost them $500, but I'm happy with the bottles. In the box is a pair of Civil war safety glasses. Yes, I do have more bottles. Some with pills or powder still in them. This is the picture we took on Saturday 9/29/07. my Birthday.

I had a lovely 60th birthday! The APL people sang to me and had cake, I got loads of cards from family and friends who care about me. Mary E. and Annie drove all the way here to bring me some sugarless ice cream. I got calls from Jan, Chris, Maryann, Carmen, Mary E. and Laura; text messages from MaryJane; went out to dinner on Mike M.; got money from Mama Clare; got a Nikon D80 body for my camera; and had a nice fire in the fire pit. Jen and Cary went to eat with us and came over for the campfire. It was great to sit up till half past my birthday just enjoying the fire and relaxing. Hell, I even got cards from Key bank and our realtor. I'm going to miss the realtor when this is over she is sooooo nice and fun to be around, and not old.

I told you all about the sleep study. Well here is what Poor Pop has to look at when we go to sleep each night. It would make lesser men RUN from the sight or at least faint. We are using this picture as insect and rodent repellent in the attic, basement and garage. I made it smaller so as not to make you all ill. Pop calls me "darth-ette"

I leave for Detroit tomorrow to sit Tom's house and dog again. Speaking of dogs. Pop has adopted another terrier. a rat-jack who is now maned Cap'n Jack. Look on the Flickr site for a picture.

We will be in Gettysburg Oct 19th & 20th. I can't wait to see all our friends again!

Our Love to all and thanks for remembering this old lady and gent.
Remember what life is really for. Trust and talk to God.
